Before selecting an undergraduate or postgraduate course it’s important to consider where the degree will take you, and how you hope to use it in the future. Many students have a strong passion for their subject, but have difficulty converting that into a realistic career pathway and goals, especially before they’ve even stepped foot in a university.

In an increasingly tough job market it’s vital to have every advantage you can to beat the competition. It’s important not only to plan which university to attend and which position to pursue, but also to know what extracurriculars and opportunities to take up to give you the essential skills employers look for as soon as you hit the job market.

For students who have already applied to or who are already attending university, it’s never too late to outline your career path, discuss module choices, consider your postgraduate options, learn how to make yourself more employable, and get advice from industry experts.

Our Career Consultation service is aimed at students in Year 10 onwards (14 years old and above) to help them establish what work can be done in advance of their university applications in order to best ensure future success. Getting In’s team brings decades of combined career consultation experience to our work with prospective students, aiming to help you understand the careers your degree might open up, manage expectations, discuss recruitment trends, and answer any questions you might have about your career path.

Skills development and support in writing personal statements for UCA, honing interview techniques, and practising admissions tests

Careers guidance for university students, helping you understand what options are available during and after your studies

Careers guidance for graduates, including CV writing, job interview preparation, techniques, and interview etiquette, and how to tailor your application to the position
