Our bespoke Oxbridge talks are designed to be hosted in school or online, to a wider audience of students, parents and teachers. We cover all areas of the Oxbridge application process and aim to deliver a talk suitable for and relevant to students as young as 14.

Some of what we cover includes:

- The importance of good GCSE results when it comes to a successful Oxbridge application.

- Choosing A-Levels and how these will open the doors to certain Undergraduate degrees.

- An overview of Oxbridge, expectations of their students and how a degree from Oxford or Cambridge might benefit you.

- Choosing a course of study at Oxbridge and how the collegiate system operates.

- What to prepare in advance, in terms of wider reading, subject knowledge, and work experience.

Personal Statement Support

An exemplary personal statement is required from all students hoping to secure a place at University, but particularly if they have their heart set on Oxbridge or Medical School. We provide bespoke packages of support when it comes to personal statements, from workshops to expert editing.

Available to all schools are:

- Personal statement writing workshops, aimed at addressing the structure, format and tone of an effective personal statement.

- A specialist Oxbridge service, in which we work with students applying to Oxbridge or Medical School, to ensure they are capable of producing a truly spectacular personal statement when required.

- Additional tailored support when it comes to personal statement writing, for students whose first language is not English or for those with additional needs.

Admissions Tests Support

We work with students and schools extensively, covering all areas of support when it comes to admissions tests for UK Universities, no matter the topic. From skills days and workshops to intensive courses and mock assessments, our goal is to help students achieve theirs.

Skills Workshops

- Expert speakers, admissions board members and tutors from specific subject areas will work with students to manage their expectations when it comes to admissions tests and help set them up for success.

- Strategy-based learning, with the opportunity to plan answers to practice questions and eventually put these into practice through a mock examination.

Admissions Test Courses

- Intense study, with multiple opportunities to practise and return subject-specific admissions tests, with feedback provided.

University Interview Skills

In much the same way as we provide support for schools and students when it comes to admissions tests, we also cover the university entrance interview. Our programme of workshops, skills sessions, and intense mock interview opportunities offers something for everyone in terms of preparation.

Some of what we offer includes:

Interview preparation workshops, designed to assess and develop students’ confidence, body language during interview and the ways in which they interact with interviewers.

Detailed support from expert tutors and Oxbridge graduates, ready to advise on how the university interview process works and how one would most effectively secure an offer, from Oxbridge for example, at interview stage.

The chance to partake in our Oxford Interview Prep Package, allowing students multiple opportunities for mock interviews with real Oxbridge students, graduates and tutors.

Teacher Training

Our bespoke Teacher Training programme can be utilised by schools to help keep teachers fully up to date on how to best support students in their applications to Oxbridge or Medical School.

Part of what the Getting In Teacher Training team cover includes:

The Oxbridge application process: how it works and what stages are involved.

How to support students in understanding whether Oxbridge or another university or course, is the right decision for them and how realistic they are being in terms of their chances of acceptance.

What makes an ‘ideal’ candidate for Oxbridge or Medical School and how to support students in cultivating these traits from an early age.

How to ensure that students explore their field of study in the right way, before applying.

How to support students in writing effective personal statements for higher education applications, including those to Oxbridge, and medical schools.
